The Last Guardian rumored for PS4

A new rumor suggests that The Last Guardian may be a PS4 title. After years of waiting for Team ICO’s latest on the PlayStation 3, and seeing numerous developments in this troubled development cycle for the highly anticipated title, a developer formerly tied to Sony’s Bigbig Studios says that development has shifted to Sony’s next-gen console.

Kenny Linder, the developer who alleges the game will be coming to the PS4, says that “It’s been PS4 for a long time now” over on NeoGAF.

“I know it’s been in development on Orbis for a long time now,” said Linder. It’s platform has been questionable for nearly two years, but the last time it was restarted (it’s been restarted a number of times), it was moved to Orbis.”

If true, we could see Sony teasing The Last Guardian in their upcoming Future of PlayStation event scheduled for February 20th. The Last Guardian on PS4 is certainly the type of  big announcement that could get PlayStation faithful even more excited for the next-gen console from Sony.
