Earlier this week, the next Call of Duty box art allegedly leaked online. An image and retail listing outed the next Call of Duty title called “Call of Duty: Ghosts”. The leak suggested that the next Call of Duty would be arriving from Infinity Ward.
The retail listing was spotted on Tesco’s website, but the European retailer pulled the listing following the leak. If true, “Call of Duty: Ghosts” would mark the first departure from the Modern Warfare and Black Ops games that have arrived one after another for the last few years.
There’s no doubt that there will be another Call of Duty title due later this year, and another recent retailer listing has pointed to a Call of Duty reveal by May 1st. According to a retail blueprint that was forwarded to IGN, retailers will be getting promotional materials on April 29th and displayed in tandem with a worldwide reveal of the shooter.
Did Tesco jump the gun with Call of Duty: Ghosts? We’ll find out in a matter of days.
