SpeedRunners Now on Steam Early Access

Four player competitive platformer SpeedRunners has made it’s dash from XBox Live Indie Games onto Steam Early Access today, available for $10 USD.

One thing very close to my heart in the video game world is going fast. There is something almost nirvana-like about making your way through a level at incredible pace, hitting all the checkpoints along the way and emerging with that gold medal, perhaps even putting your friends’ scores on the leaderboard to shame.

SpeedRunners is exactly that experience, channeling speedy and complex platformers like Dustforce, Super Meat Boy and N+. In SpeedRunners, gamers can grapple and walljump their way through stages while trying to avoid becoming the target of their friends’ grappling hooks and missiles. SpeedRunners is the kind of game which screenshots simply don’t do justice to, the speed and mayhem need to be witnessed to feel the full breadth of gameplay available.

Combining the insanity of competitive weapon based gameplay with the slick movement of hardcore platforming, SpeedRunners looks like an exciting experience for platforming fans.
