Rumor: Rockstar’s Agent Game May Have Been Cancelled

Rockstar was in development for a PS3 exclusive called Agent. After so many years, it appears the game might have been cancelled.

Rockstar’s Agent is much like Tekken X Street Fighter which is another game that has been officially announced, but has never reappeared ever since. Agent was announced to be a PS3 exclusive and was set in the Cold War era. It was much like Rockstar’s take on the older James Bond movies from the sounds of things.

A NeoGAF user has noted he received an email from Gamefly notifying him of the cancellation of Rockstar’s Agent game. They removed the game from the user’s “GameQ”. It notes for unreleased games, “the game has been cancelled by the publisher”.

It’s interesting to note the email mentioned Agent on PS3. If this is true, there could be a good chance the game might see the light of day on the PS4 instead. Then again, the game could just be cancelled altogether.

However, you should take this news as a grain of salt right now as Rockstar has not confirmed Agent’s cancellation yet. Still, it’s a game nobody has heard of in many years which isn’t always a good sign.
