The Halo 5: Guardians release date may have inadvertently been revealed in a recent twitter photo.
IGN found evidence of this by a tweet from Michael Cavanaugh who was hired just the other day by 343 Industries. 343 Industries is of course the developer for Halo 5: Guardians. The studio took over from Bungie who retired from the series and made this year’s Destiny instead.
Back to the photo, there is a red digital display below the 343 Industries banner. It looks like a countdown for the release date of Halo 5: Guardians. IGN speculates that the “382” means the number of days that are left until the game comes out. As of time of writing, this means Halo 5: Guardians has a release date of November 10th, 2015.
November 10th, 2015 also falls on a Tuesday which is the day most games are released in North America. A game like Halo 5: Guardians will probably have a simultaneous worldwide release date. The date is feasible too since Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 4 and even Halo: The Master Chief Collection have had a November release date.
Bear in mind this could all change as the release date for Halo 5: Guardians has not been officially announced yet. After all, we’ve seen many games get delayed recently. However, it appears a November 10th, 2015 for Halo 5: Guardians is the date 343 Industries is aiming to release the game.
Update: 343 Industries has denied that the number in the photo is related in any way to the release date of Halo 5: Guardians.
