DICE has promised that Star Wars: Battlefront will not just be Battlefield with lasers and starships.
When it was announced that DICE is developing Star Wars: Battlefront, many people thought it would just play like Battlefield. DICE has now spoken out that it will not just be a clone of the popular FPS franchise.
Star Wars: Battlefront’s assistant producer, Jesper Nielsen, has answered some fans questions on NeoGAF about the game. He said “it’s not” when someone asked if the game will be Battlefield but just with a Star Wars skin.
Nielsen also confirmed that Battlelog will not be a part of Star Wars: Battlefront. Battlelog is used for the Battlefield series that allows players to track their own stats and more. This will not be a part of Star Wars: Battlefront it looks like.
Nielsen mentioned the audio in Star Wars: Battlefront will be amazing. He says DICE has a lot of brilliant people working on that department to ensure all of the iconic Star Wars sounds are in the game. The game is sure to have laser blasts, TIE Fighter roars and more. We may also hear the memorable sounds of lightsabers clashing too.
Star Wars: Battlefront releases November 17th, 2015 for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
