Treyarch has revealed in a new interview that they are aiming for 1080p and 60fps on the PS4 and Xbox One version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.

Head of Treyarch, Mark Lumia, was recently interviewed by German website Gameswelt. Treyarch’s big aim is to make all versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 look really good.

First of all, Lumia said Treyarch’s 300 employees want to ensure “PC Gamers get the best possible experience” with Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. They don’t want to make the PC version feel like it is not in “second place”.

What was more interesting were Lumia’s comments about Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 on PS4 and Xbox One. Lumia said the focus for the team is to make the game 60fps on all platforms. He said the PS4 version is already at 1080p. Gameswelt asked him about the resolution for the Xbox One version, but noted he “sidestepped the question”. All he said is that the frame rate is the “higher priority” and the final results are not clear yet.

If Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is 1080p and 60fps on all platforms, everyone will be happy. However it looks like Treyarch may have to adjust things if this is not possible.

Do you really care about the resolution and frame rate for your games?
