Some additional new information has been released concerning the Gears of War Xbox One remake that is currently in development.

Polygon has updated its original article giving us new information on the Gears of War Xbox One remake. They still haven’t named who their sources are, so it’s safe to call this a rumor for now. Microsoft and Black Tusk Studios are yet to confirm or deny the reports.

Anyway, it was speculated that the Gears of War Xbox One remake will be developed by Black Tusk Studios. A source revealed to Polygon that this is not the case. The developer for the remake will be Splash Damage. The UK developer has worked on games such as Brink and Dirty Bomb.

Splash Damage has also listed many job vacancies where it says the studio is working on a “very well known and highly popular AAA title with next gen technology.” The wording suggests it’s a remake from a popular game. Gears of War Xbox One fits this description well.

Polygon also reports that Gears of War Xbox One runs at 60fps during multiplayer. This is good news for all the shooting fans out there.

Hopefully Microsoft confirms all this is true at E3 later this year. There is strong demand for a Gears of War Xbox One remake out there.
