Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine is as synonymous with the X-Men franchise of movies as just about any single actor and character character is with a comic movie series. As a result, it was saddening to hear that he planned to his run in the role after the upcoming Wolverine 2. There had never been any confirmation that he was going to be in X-Men: Apocalypse before that however, but it is sounding like he very well might.
Falling into what would be Jackman’s next to last possible movie as Wolverine, him appearing in at least some capacity has been all but a foregone conclusion. However, the latest piece of information helps to solidify that, coming from a very different kind of source.
According to Comic Book Movie, Kikany Leather Goods is a Brooklyn based company that has been open since 2009 and specializes in custom leather goods. They used their Instagram to post the following image and description below, which mentions that they were asked to make a special custom duffle backpack for Jackman that is filming X-Men: Apocalypse in Montreal right now.
This is far from an official source, but it would be quite a knock to a company to make up something like this. Considering X-Men: Apocalypse will be wrapping up the prequel style trilogy, it would be really odd to see Wolverine miss out on the fun anyways.
The only issue is the ending to X-Men: Days of Futures Past, which appears to be changing his trajectory from the original timeline. There is also the possibility he could show up as one of Apocalypse’s Four Horseman, but could we really see them make Wolverine the bad guy in Hugh Jackman’s final outing in a mainline X-Men movie.
