It was recently reported that Five Nights at Freddy’s World would be launching on February 19, but considering just about everything related to this series gets a surprise release fans were definitely expecting it to come out before that.
Well, it has, as Five Nights at Freddy’s World is now available nearly a full month prior to the previously-reported release date. You can purchase the game right now on Steam for $9.99, though we still don’t have release dates for the mobile versions of the game.
Five Night’s at Freddy’s World is set to be a major departure for the series, as instead of a first-person horror game it is instead an RPG. The Steam page says the following about the game:
“With 40 playable characters, multiple endings, multiple difficulties, and a great soundtrack from artist Leon Riskin, FNaF World hits the ground running and doesn’t stop. Take control of Freddy and the gang as they set out on a quest in the world beneath worlds, a world that reflects the actions and deeds of the “flipside”, where things have started becoming distorted and broken. Lead your team deeper into this digital world to find the source of these glitches and monsters, and restore it to what it was designed to be- a safe haven.”
The Five Nights at Freddy’s series has been incredibly popular with regular releases of new games within the span of months of each other. There are currently four main games, one spin-off and a novel that have been released, and the series launched in August 2014.
