Disney is going to great lengths to prevent people from snooping in when they are filming Star Wars: Episode 8 in Croatia. The company doesn’t want any pivotal information from getting out before the film comes out.
Croatian website, Mos Croatia, reports that filming for Star Wars: Episode 8 in Dubrovnik, Croatia occurs between March 9th, 2016 until March 16th, 2016. Fans won’t be able to see any of the filming though.
The site reports that Disney has rented 600 guards who will be at the locations where they will be filming the movie. They will also be piloting drones to prevent fans’ own drones from recording anything and posting it online. If you live in Croatia and want to see some of the filming for the movie, it’s likely you will be allowed to view anything.
Disney was strict with websites posting leaks about Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens. The company asked many websites to take down images of Luke Skywalker when a photo was posted online. Not to mention images of merchandise that retailers leaked had to be taken down also.
Disney did somewhat of a good job hiding most of the big spoilers in Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens. They have two more years to hide details of Star Wars: Episode 8 now.
