Street Fighter V has had some issued in the online department since it launched, though Capcom has been very clear that they are aware of the issues and have been keeping fans up to date on the latest fixes they have been rolling out.
The latest Capcom Unity update has digital media and eSports director Neidel Crisan talking about Capcom’s current priorities for fixing the game. He says that, “Matchmaking for Ranked and Casual battles is continuingly being improved for most users. Throughout the weekend and after the server reset, most players should be matched up with opponents at a quicker rate than before.”
He goes on to say that, “Our goal is to provide the best online experience for all users, and if you are not in a region that has a large number of users with stable connections it will take longer to find a suitable opponent. Again, we will continue to look at this issue and find ways to circumvent longer than intended wait times for matchmaking.”
Battle Lounges will also be seeing some improvements, with the issue of players getting disconnected while being in a Battle Lounge being fixed. However, he claims that Battle Lounges still need a lot of work and that more fixes are incoming.
Street Fighter V is available now for PlayStation 4 and PC.
