Disney has now concluded its time in Croatia as filming for Star Wars: Episode 8 in the country has ended. The film crew will now head on over to the UK to shoot the majority of the movie at Pinewood Studios.

The Dubrovnik Times reported that filming ended yesterday and that the sets are slowly being dismantled and packed away. Filming occurred from March 9th, 2016 until March 16th, 2016.

The website further estimated that Star Wars: Episode 8 could have around 10 to 15 minutes worth of footage from the filming that occurred in Croatia.

What’s interesting is that the major stars such as Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley and John Boyega were not a part of the filming that took place last week. A lot of the stunt people were there instead which suggests this part of the movie could have quite a bit of action.

In related news, Digital Nomads once again posted up a great video taking a look at the sets that were at Dubrovnik, Croatia. It’s a great tour of how hard the film crew works to make fictional cities and towns look realistic with all the props that are made. Not to mention the city of Dubrovnik itself looks pretty as it is near the sea.
