PlayStation VR Pre Order Date and Time Revealed

PlayStation VR Pre Orders will begin on Tuesday, March 22nd at 7am Pacific Time. These pre orders will specifically be for the PlayStation VR Launch Bundle, which will contain not only the VR headset, but also all of the components needed to get everything running, including a game.

The full contents are: All contents of the PS VR core bundle: PS VR headset, PS VR cables, Stereo Headphones, PlayStation VR Demo Disc, PlayStation Camera, 2 PlayStation Move motion controllers, PlayStation VR Worlds (disc).

The launch bundle costs a bit more than the core, running $499.99. “This bundle provides an unbeatable value for those of you looking to get right into VR gaming with your PlayStation 4. Since we’re including one of our top PS VR launch games, PlayStation VR Worlds, we know you’ll have a great experience right out of the box. This bundle will also be available in Canada for $699.99 CAD.”

Sony reassures customers that while these units might sell out quickly, more are coming. Saying that another wave of pre orders will open in the Summer. One interesting thing to note is that the core bundle, which wowed everyone with its $399 price tag, will not be available for pre orders at all. Only this launch bundle will be, making it so those with a camera and Move controllers are stuck waiting for the PlayStation VR Core Bundle to hit stores.
