The Division broke records in its debut last month and has maintained a steady player base in that time since, which makes any changes to the game all the more interesting. The first of those is finally arriving on Tuesday with update 1.1, but just when will that update be ready for players to download and experience?
The first actual DLC is still to come for The Division, but the game’s first update is bringing a number of changes and even the new Incursions. Ubisoft has not specifically provided a time when the update will be up for sure, but we have a pretty good approximation.
To prepare for this new update, the servers for The Division are going to be going down for three hours as part of their weekly maintenance, which is scheduled for 3:00 am ET tonight. As revealed by a recent Twitch stream, the downtime is estimated to be around three hours.
However, according to VG247, they also revealed that the update will be able to be downloaded during the actual downtime. If this is the case, the update will be available around 3 am ET for you to start downloading while waiting for the servers to come back up and hopefully be ready for when the maintenance is complete at the estimated 6 am ET in the morning.
If that is not true and you must wait for the maintenance to complete to download the update, you can expect to be able to start that around 6 am ET. Hopefully it is the latter, so the time in which you can’t play is limited to only the three hour span, as long as you can download the 4.0-4.7 GB patch in that time.
