May 4th has quickly become synonymous with Star Wars thanks to the “May the Fourth be with you” saying. Companies and people around the world celebrate the day with various Star Wars events. Microsoft is no different, using the special day to unveil two new additions to the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility list that truly fit the spirit of May the Fourth.
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed and its sequel are now available to play on Xbox One via Backwards Compatibility. As usual, if you owned the games digitally, you’ll be able to download them and play them on your Xbox One without any hassle. If you have the retail disc version, just pop it into your console and you should eb able to download the game from the Xbox Live store.
These two games have been fan favorites due to the interesting story and the way the titles utilized the force mechanics. Of course, nothing is perfect though, and while they had many intriguing elements, the overall reception was mixed. The second game especially seemed to be received poorly, with an overall rushed feeling that really hurt the overall experience.
Still, they are very unique entries into the Star Wars universe, and it’ll be great for fans to be able to play them on the Xbox One.
