The updated version of the controversial 1997 shooter called POSTAL is set to launch later this month, as developer Running With Scissors has announced that POSTAL Redux will launch on May 20th. The game will be coming to Steam and Mac shortly after the PC launch, though we’re still waiting for the exact release dates for those.
While the game will be getting a console release, it isn’t expected to happen until the end of the year. The game is set to come to PlayStation 4 within the last quarter of the year, with an Xbox One version not currently being announced.
Here’s a description of the game from its Steam page:
“POSTAL Redux is a high definition remake of The Postal Dude’s infamous first foray into the world. Prepare to experience his psychological journey with faithfully recreated high resolution visuals, remastered music, sounds, and dialog, and revamped and modernized gameplay. Crazed gunmen out for your blood await you around every corner. The only choice is clear: Get them before they get you. Fight back with a devastating arsenal as you make your way through a violence-stricken town.”
