The PS4’s exclusive Spider-Man video game at E3 2016 wowed a lot of fans that are into comic book superheroes. Insomniac Games has now confirmed the first trailer was running on a PS4 in-game engine and it wasn’t all just CGI.

Insomniac Games confirmed this while replying to a fan via Twitter. A fan wanted to know if it was CGI footage or possibly from the new PS4 Neo console.

They said: “In game/engine/real-time. Running on current PS4 hardware, not the high-end PS4“. The teaser trailer looked very impressive and thankfully the actual game will look just as good.

The new Spider-Man PS4 exclusive looks far better than Activision’s last effort which was The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 on PS4 didn’t look all that different from a standard PS3 video game. Not to mention the game itself was boring and repetitive.

Hopefully Insomniac Games is able to make Spider-Man video games great again. The latest Ratchet and Clank game was a blast and Marvel specifically teamed up with Insomniac Games in order for them to deliver a quality game. It’s being said the Spider-Man video games will remain PS4 exclusives for the time being, but other Marvel properties will land on other platforms.
