Sony has now released system update 4.07 for the PS4 console. Make sure to update the console before you want to play games or hook it up online.

PS4 update 4.07 is available for all versions of the console and it weighs in at 312MB. The following was posted about the update: “This system software update improves the quality of the system performance.

Before you can play online multiplayer, just update your console as soon as possible and then you can start playing again. There’s nothing wrong with more stability, although it’s hardly what you call an exciting new update.

Sony has been really busy lately since it has now released the PS4 Pro. There might be future updates that will cater towards Pro owners only in the near future. After all, not everyone owns the Pro and a 4K TV.

Sony already had to investigate an issue with the Pro as some users had trouble connecting it to their TVs. YouTube’s Maximillian Dood already made a video about this. It doesn’t affect everyone, but it was annoying for him.

That’s not to say original console owners are going to be left in the dark. Sony promises to support the original console in the near future. There won’t be any Pro exclusive video games released. Microsoft’s Xbox Project Scorpio is going to be similar as the original Xbox One will still be supported for the foreseeable future.

As for system updates, it’s unlikely huge features will be coming our way until next year. Sony usually announces all of the new features via the PlayStation Blog. They also usually test out new system updates by holding a beta for some people to participate in. There’s now over 50 million PS4 owners out there so Sony will continue to make everyone happy.
