Bully: Scholarship Edition is now playable on Xbox One via Backwards Compatibility. The game marks another Rockstar classic making its way to the feature after fans made multiple requests for both Bully and the previously released Red Dead Redemption. The game has always had a cult following, taking the classic Rockstar open world formula and applying it to a school setting.

The announcement came directly from Microsoft, describing the game by saying, “As a mischievous schoolboy, you’ll stand up to bullies, get picked on by teachers, play pranks, win or lose the girl, and ultimately learn to navigate the obstacles of the worst school around, Bullworth Academy — a corrupt and crumbling prep school with an uptight facade.”

Players who owned the digital version of Bully: Scholarship Edition on Xbox 360 can go ahead and install the game now without any trouble. Those with a physical disc just need to insert it into their Xbox One to prompt the download. You’ll need to keep the disc in the system any time you play the game. Also of note, if you saved your game via the cloud on Xbox 360, that save will transfer over to the Xbox One version.

Along with Bully, Microsoft also added Catherine and Raskulls to the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility list today.

Xbox One Backwards Compatibility continues to expand with new titles in tons of different genres. The feature recently added its 300th game, with Bully pushing the number even higher than that. The Xbox One originally launched with no hint of backwards compatibility, with Sony relying on their PlayStation Now streaming service to handle PS2 and PS3 games on PS4. The surprise announcement of Xbox One Backwards Compatibility definitely caught most gamers by surprise, but even more surprising since then has been Microsoft’s dedication to the feature.

While Xbox 360 also featured backwards compatibility to original Xbox games, it was much less supported, resulting in large holes in the category. Xbox One has already surpassed it, and seems to be moving forward at a steady pace.
