HTC Vive announced a new hardware bundle today that’s sure to excite open-world RPG fans – a bundle that includes a copy of the highly anticipated Fallout 4 VR.

Starting today, October 2nd, any customers who purchase a HTC Vive system will also receive a free copy of Fallout 4 VR, which has a retail value of $59.99 slated for its release on the 12th December.

The legendary post apocalyptic adventure game already has a huge fanbase, having won hundreds of awards, and captured the imaginations of countless players, and is promising an unparalleled level of immersion never seen before on this scale. You’ll be able to do everything you could do in Fallout 4, whilst walking around and interacting with the world in real-time.

“Fallout 4 VR is the most anticipated title for VR this holiday, and the game development team at Bethesda Game Studios is delivering on the promise with a full-length AAA open-world game that takes advantage of Vive’s incredible room-scale immersion for a mind-blowing experience in the Wasteland,” said Joel Breton, GM of Vive Studios. “The promise of a game with near endless content, including hundreds of locations, characters, and quests, fully playable in VR, is something that we have been focused on providing for the VR gaming community. We are now thrilled to provide this incredible game to new Vive owners and eagerly look forward to game’s launch on Vive this December.”

The game most recently picked up an award at gamescom 2017 for ‘Best Virtual Reality Game’, where it showcased the full game, complete with redesigned combat, crafting, and building systems created specifically for virtual reality release.

It’s looking like the freedom of exploring the wasteland again, complete with the Vive’s room-scale technology, will be the most responsive and immersive experience in virtual reality so far, and for those picking up a Vive for Christmas, this will be the cherry on the cake.
