A new NBA 2K18 update has arrived for Xbox One players that focuses on stability for the MyCareer game mode. Unfortunately that’s all we know about what’s been changed in this latest update as 2K has not revealed anything else about this patch.
The stability issues that 2K is likely addressing here are the performance issues that The Neighborhood areas of the game have, with the game having stuttering problems and frame rate drops in the area. While the announcement was made via Twitter, many of the fans responding to 2K are still concerned about other areas of the game.
A lot of the complaints surrounding this year’s version of the game boil down to the progression system of the game, with the virtual currency system getting more egregious this year than in previous years.
While they might not be tweaking these aspects of the game, it’s good to know that they are at least trying to get the performance of the game dialed in for this incredibly “grindy” free-to-play style mode where players look to level up their character from low level street baller to NBA Legend.
Microtransaction stuff aside, some players just aren’t happy with the shooting mechanics in this year’s game, especially when it comes to shots and lay-ups that are close to the hoop. A lot of misses of what seem like easy shots have players hammering the Twitter account for the game asking for improvements in this area of the game.
The latest patch for NBA 2K18 on Xbox One went live earlier today.
