Assassin’s Creed Origins is just a few weeks away now, so players on the PC will need ensure that their computer’s specs are up to snuff. Fortunately, the game’s steam page has revealed the game’s minimum and recommended system requirements needed to make Bayuk’s journey through Ubisoft’s imagining of Ancient Egypt a smooth one.
Minimum:
— OS: Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 (64-bit versions only)
— Processor: Intel Core i5-2400s @ 2.5 GHz or AMD FX-6350 @ 3.9 GHz or equivalent
— Memory: 6 GB RAM
— Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 or AMD R9 270 (2048 MB VRAM with Shader Model 5.0 or better)
— DirectX: Version 11
— Additional Notes: Video Preset: Lowest (720p)
Recommended:

Compared to Nioh: Complete Edition’s system requirements, those for Assassin’s Creed Origins are surprisingly low. The graphics cards needed for both the minimum and recommended settings were top of the line in 2013, so even a semi-decent computer nowadays should be able to run this game with little issue. Of course, having a stronger computer will only serve to improve the game’s visuals and push its presentation to its absolute limits.
As for Assassin’s Creed Origins itself, we have a preview of the game which dubs it as the “most exciting revitalization to the series since the release of Assassin’s Creed 2.” Considering that Assassin’s Creed 2 is oft agreed upon by fans as the last great entry in the series, the fact that Origins has garnered such praise definitely bodes well for it.
Assassin’s Creed Origins launches for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on Oct. 27.
