The roster of playable characters in SoulCalibur VI expanded a little bit today (June 5) as it was revealed that Talim will be making a return in the game.

Bandai Namco announced this news earlier today in a press release. Talim, as the Last Priestess of the Winds from the Village of the Wind Deity, has the power to control wind, as well as use her unique elbow blade weapons. Talim first joined the SoulCalibur series in SoulCalibur II and has become a fan-favorite, appearing in every main series game since, except for SoulCalibur V. In SoulCalibur VI, which tells an altered version of the story from the first SoulCalibur, Talim has spent her entire life in her village until one day a stranger arrives with a shard of the evil sword, Soul Edge. Sensing the evil from the shard, Talim leaves her village to return the shard “to where it belongs.”

Talim joins a roster of a number of returning favorites in SoulCalibur VI, including Nightmare, Siegfried, Sophitia, Ivy, Yoshimitsu, Mitsurugi and more. The game was playable at this year’s E3 and seems to retain the quality the series is known for. SoulCalibur VI is set to release on October 19 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. You can watch Talim’s reveal trailer below.
