Fury’s got quite the task ahead of her going into Darksiders III; not only does she have to prove herself as the strongest of the Four Horsemen, she has to do it by single-handedly cleaning up the mess left behind by War and Death. Despite their efforts, or possibly because of them, the Seven Deadly sins have overrun the world, and it’s up to Fury to clear them out once and for all.
Simply running through and slashing up anything that gets in her way won’t be enough to put an end to the madness, so Fury’s been given some help in the form of “hollows:” elemental powers Fury can cycle through at will in order to catch enemies off-guard and exploit their weaknesses. THQ Nordic already revealed Fury’s “Flame Hollow” in a previous trailer, and it was impressive indeed. However, this new “Force Hollow” might just take the crown for now.
Whereas the flame hollow in Darksiders III appears to be all about burning one’s enemies and surrounds, the force hollow is focused upon devastating slams and shoving enemies around the battlefield. Fury’s movements appear to be a bit slower than usual while in this state, so it’ll probably be best used as a finishing move rather than as one’s main means of attack.
There also appears to be a traversal function here, as Fury can be see rolling along the side of a crystal wall. This ball is neither limited to rolling around or being composed from rock. Once activated, Fury can draw in just about everything around her into that hollow sphere shape and then release it all in one big, highly damaging burst.
Darksiders III is due out on November 27 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, so fans won’t have to wait long before they can try it out for themselves.
