Earlier this year, Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom was released and garnered lots of high praise. Now, the adventure will continue as the game’s first major DLC is set to release soon.

In a recent press release, publisher Bandai Namco revealed that the name of the first major Ni no Kuni II DLC will be called “The Lair of the Lost Lord” and that it is currently scheduled for release sometime this winter. This DLC will contain a new labyrinth dungeon in the Rubby Ruins in which the Prince of Wraiths is planning on destroying Evermore. In addition to this new dungeon, the DLC will also introduce the new Material Method battle system, though how exactly this new method will improve upon the player’s battle style has yet to be revealed. “The Lair of the Lost Lord” will also add more than eighty new weapons and armor to the game, as well as new quests that will expand upon the backstories of some side characters.

“The Lair of the Lost Lord” will be free to those who own a Ni no Kuni II season pass, and will also be available for stand-alone purchase for a price that has yet to be confirmed.
