Though the 3DS seems to be becoming more and more irrelevant, there are still a few games coming to the console this year. One of these is Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn, which has just received a March release date.
Nintendo recently announced that Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn will launch on March 8. The game is a revamped version of the 2010 Wii game Kirby’s Epic Yarn, which not only featured a yarn-themed aesthetic, but deviated from the typical Kirby formula by removing the titular character’s signature flying and copying abilities. Instead, it provided a more streamlined platforming experience that was easier for newcomers to the genre, but also provided a pleasant and lighthearted game for anyone else interested.
In Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn, the original game is given some new features, such as new abilities, minigames, and modes. New abilities include a giant yarn ball which can be used to attack enemies, a sword that can slice through things, and a Nylon ability that generates a gust of wind that will allow the player to jump higher and suck in beads. King Dedede and Meta Knight will be playable in new minigames, and players looking for an extra challenge can check out the new Devilish Mode.
