THQ has recently announced an updated business strategy for the coming years.  The publisher is looking to exit “traditional kids’ liscensed video games”  and focus on core gaming experiences.  The publisher has plans to implement this strategy on existing consoles as well as “emerging platforms”, whatever those may be.

According to CEO Brian Farrell, “THQ will be a more streamlined organization focused only on our strongest franchises.”

The company says to expect more information about this strategy in the coming days when THQ announces their third quarter revenues in their conference call on February 2nd.   Maybe we’ll hear more about what else THQ has planned for the coming months.  Personally, I hope they talk about Metro Last Light the entire time.
