Bungie has been in the process of handing over the reigns of the Halo franchise for some time. Â Today the company finally relinquished all control of their long running franchise, as Bungie.net is no longer the center of the Halo universe.
Before it was fashionable to keep track of your vital statistics, Bungie offered this service free to all players as early as Halo 2, gave players the ability to capture their game sessions in Halo 3, and in the process amassed an insane amount of in-game data. Â The developer has released an impressive infographic, that includes some mind boggling numbers for the franchise over the years.
As the company lets go of Halo, there are some changes that will be coming down the line. Â You can no longer sign up for Bungie pro features, and the developer will no longer be tabulating statistics, or hosting maps and gametypes for the Halo games. Â The developer recently fielded questions about what the final transition will entail, and you can find that here.
