We’ve already wrote about the “mid-credits” scene for Avengers: Age of Ultron. The ending of the film however has interesting turns for the characters in the future. Spoilers obviously follow.

SPOILER ALERT

Let’s start off with the two characters in Avengers: Age of Ultron that are highly unlikely to be returning in future films. Ultron himself dies at the hands of Vision. Every metal piece of him got destroyed so there is no future for him.

The other major character that died in Avengers: Age of Ultron is Quicksilver. Quicksilver got gunned down by Ultron while he was trying to save Hawkeye and a little boy. He is dead, and unlikely to return in future films either.

The futures of other characters in Avengers: Age of Ultron will be taking interesting turns. First off there’s Bruce Banner/Hulk. Banner feels guilty abut living in crowded cities as his Hulk form may harm innocent people. Banner flies a Quinjet into the sea and is said to be in Fiji. It looks like this character is taking a little break from the limelight.

Another character that looks like to be taking a break is Hawkeye. He goes back to his home to take care of his family. Although it has been confirmed that Hawkeye will be in Captain America: Civil War. Unlike Hulk, we may see Hawkeye sooner rather than later.

Tony Stark also chose to leave The Avengers for now. He wants to live a peaceful life with Pepper Potts. Just like Hawkeye, we will see the character again next year in Captain America: Civil War. His “break” doesn’t seem like it will last very long.

Thor leaves Earth like he always does. He wants to research more about the Infinity Stones. He will return in Thor: Ragnarok. He will probably find more clues that Thanos is in need of the Infinity Stones. This will set the motions for Avengers: Infinity War.

Only Captain America, Nick Fury and Black Widow are staying on Earth and still a part of The Avengers. At the end of the film, a new Avengers headquarters is in New York. Captain America and Black Widow have to train a new Avengers team. This new team comprises of Scarlet Witch, War Machine, Falcon and Vision.

The new Avengers team is very interesting. It’s likely we may see this new team take action in Avengers: Infinity War. We also know that several of the characters also return next year for Captain America: Civil War. These characters might be on Captain America’s side. Spider-Man will debut in Civil War too. He sadly had no appearance in Age of Ultron.
