Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom takes approximately 40 hours to beat. There are nine chapters in total, and to complete all nine chapters players will need to unite the lands of the world throughout the course of the game, while building the Kingdom of Evermore.
Before the game allows you to take on the final battle and finish the game from a story perspective, players must complete all of the story missions, while also progressing the Kingdom of Evermore to Level 3. To reach a Level 3 Kingdom players must meet certain requirements in the game. This includes recruiting at least 50 citizens to the Kingdom of Evermore.

This 40 hour run time takes into consideration an approximation of the amount of time it will take to do just the core story missions and make enough progression to unlock the final chapter. Of course, this can be quite more if players choose to do more of the side missions, kingdom building, and other activities found within the game.
