Whether you are new or returning after playing God of War (2018), the stats in God of War Ragnarok can be confusing. Though there is a way for you to remember them, figuring out what the stats are and what you want to prioritize can be tricky. Here is what all of the God of War Ragnarok stats are.
God of War Ragnarok All Stats Explained
In God of War Ragnarok, there are six stats. The stats are strength, defense, runic, vitality, luck, and cooldown. Let’s go into what each one means.
Strength and defense are kind of obvious. The higher your strength, the more damage your attacks will deal. The higher your defense, the lower the incoming damage is. No matter the difficulty you choose, you’ll want to prioritize these two above all else.
Runic is a stat that determines the damage dealt by runic and elemental attacks. Once you have a light and heavy runic attack, you can prioritize their damage as well as the damage dealt by your frosted Leviathan Axe and flaming Chaos Blades.
Vitality, like in other games, increases your max health. While collecting Idunn Apples will increase your max health and Horns of Blood Mead will increase your max rage, the higher your Vitality stat, the higher your max health.
The Luck stat improves your chances at good loot. If you want to quickly collect Beast Scraps, then make sure you have high Luck. This stat also lets you activate your chance abilities more often.
Cooldown dictates the time you need to wait for abilities to refresh. This is a great stat to pair with runic. If you really want to make the most of your runic attacks, a high cooldown will help you use the abilities more often and a high runic stat will increase the damage of the attacks.
And now you know what all of the stats are in God of War Ragnarok. If you ever forget, you can return to this guide or press the triangle button when looking over your weapons or armor. This will pull up a stat help page in the game.
God of War Ragnarok is available now on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
