While most of Apex Legends is available to you once you download the free-to-play Battle Royale game on PS4, Xbox One, or PC, there’s some things locked up tight. Cosmetics, of course, with characters and weapons all having tons of skins to unlock and use. But two big things are locked up right at the beginning that you’ll surely want to get unlocked as fast as possible: characters. Here’s how to unlock Caustic and Mirage in Apex Legends.
The answer, as it always is for free-to-play games, is to buy them with in-game currency. There’s no big trick to this, but if you don’t want to spend real world money, then you’ll want to keep reading. Both Caustic and Mirage cost either 12,000 Legend Tokens or 750 Apex Coins.
Apex Coins are the premium currency, which you can buy whenever you want, in many different quantity types. If you’re willing to plunk down some real world cash to unlock Caustic and Mirage in Apex Legends, then head to the store and buy them up. Head back to the Legends menu, click which you want to unlock, then click Unlock in the bottom right, and they’ll be yours. However, if you don’t want to spend any money, you’ll want Legend Tokens.
