Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is a game that has a lot of combat in it.  Sure you can stealth your way through a lot of the game, but there’s gonna be times where you’re gonna need to fight.  You’re going to run into numerous enemy types and sometimes they’re going to be stronger and bigger than you, carrying shields and have more health.

Here’s the essential starting abilities that you should target when starting out in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey to make enemies a little bit easier in combat.  The three abilities that we target just as soon as we have enough ability points are:

Second Wind – Gives you the ability to heal in combat.  This one comes in handy because without it you cannot heal while in battle and need to resort to running away when low on health.

Shield Breaker – This allows you to break shield guard for most shielded enemies by holding the LB + A (Xbox) or L1 + X (PlayStation).

Venomous Attacks – This will help decrease your enemy’s HP even while you aren’t hitting them by coating your melee weapons and standard arrows with poison.  Once you increase poison meter to full the enemy will take damage over time.

These three abilities are three must have abilities that you can get early on in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey that will definitely help and make enemies easier.
