The fresh blood of the Cleaners who finds himself to be too chatty when things get heated. Evangelo is quite an interesting and somewhat flexible class in Back 4 Blood. He is a mix of a speedster and brawler, but can make use of other types of play styles in the grand scheme of things.

What role does Evangelo play in Back 4 Blood?

Since he is a bit of a speedy type, he’s ideal for solo queueing in the campaign. Oftentimes if you match with randoms, there won’t be a lot of voice communication. It’ll be difficult to call out when you or team mates get grabbed by the Ridden, which happens quite often if you go in without scanning the area.

Luckily with his ability to break out of grabs, you can prevent unnecessary downs and deaths because of the lack of communication. He can also serve as a means of drawing enemy aggro because of his movement speed and increased base stamina.

Evangelo’s abilities

  • Evangelo can break out of grabs quicker than everyone else
  • He has 25% more stamina regen
  • Team Effect: 5% Team movement speed

The best weapons to use for Evangelo

Evangelo starts off with a machete, which you should consider holding onto. You can switch off between other melee weapons that better suit your style. Ideally, you’d want horizontal swinging weapons to deal with smaller fries while you use fire axes and hatchets to hit larger targets with harder-to-hit spots.

For his other weapon, he can make use of basically anything. It’s based on what you are more comfortable with, but ideally, he should use guns that are better for multiple targets to disperse crowds. Use something like an assault rifle or SMG to do the trick.
