Devil May Cry 5 How to Taunt

Recommended Videos

Taunting your demonic enemies is just as important as smacking them around with your special abilities or shooting them.  Taunting may help you feel a little better, but it also helps you build your S, SS, and SSS Stylish Combos Ranks.  This guide will explain how to taunt in Devil May Cry 5 on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

How to taunt in Devil May Cry 5

Taunting is done by pressing the view button (“back button”) on the Xbox One.  On the PlayStation 4 you can press the touchpad to taunt in Devil May Cry 5.

What happens when you press the button does appear to be pretty random, but regardless of if you are using Dante, Nero, or V you will do something different.  Sometimes your character will say something, sometimes they will just laugh and mock the enemies.

The practical side of taunting is that it can be used to extend your combos.  If you’re waiting for enemies to spawn into a battle and you’ve got some time to kill (no pun intended) you can always press the taunt button to keep your combo meter growing.
