Far Cry 6 Du or Die Locked Door: How to Get Yaran Contraband Chest in Fort Quito

Recommended Videos

During the Du or Die mission in Far Cry 6, players need to open a locked door to find the depleted uranium for Juan. There’s also a second locked door in the Du or Die mission leading to a weapon chest that will reward Far Cry 6 players will a unique firearm. You’ll need to find a keycard for the first door, and the second door requires players to solve a small puzzle to get inside. Both doors are relatively easy to bypass once you know where to look, though. Here’s how to open the locked door and find the Fort Quito weapon chest in the Du or Die mission of Far Cry 6.

How to Open the Locked Door in Du or Die

In order to steal the depleted uranium for Juan, you need to infiltrate Fort Quito’s armory. The problem is, the door to the armory is locked and requires a key. The armory key can be found in a room in the southwest corner of the fort. It’s a small keycard with a blue lanyard sitting on a table next to a lamp. Most keycards in Far Cry 6 look like this, so get used to hunting these down.

Once you obtain the Armory Key, you can head out to the courtyard and proceed through the metal door. The depleted uranium will be inside a container just inside the door. You can now leave and deliver the depleted uranium to Juan, but you can also head underground to find a hidden weapon cache if you want more gear.

You may have noticed a Yaran Contraband icon on the map while exploring Fort Quito. It’s located on the eastern side of the fort. You’ll have to take a ladder down to an underground area in order to find it. Once you make your way down though, you’ll find that the chest is hidden behind a locked door.

There is no key to this door. To get inside, all you have to do is walk around the right side of the fence until you find a large wooden board leaning against it. This board is conveniently covering up a small hole that you can use as an entrance. Just shoot it or hit it with your machete a few times to break it and reveal the entrance.

Inside, you’ll find a Yaran Contraband weapon chest that will reward you with a unique pistol called The Autocrat. This sidearm comes equipped with armor-piercing rounds by default and is an incredibly useful tool to have this early in the game. There are many more weapon chests like this one scattered across Yara, so keep an eye out while you’re exploring.
