If you want to make the team in FIFA 22, you’ll have to know how to aim shots like a pro for the new season. It’s a simple mechanic, but you need to learn everything you can going into the new launch to get the most out of shot-shaping.

How to Aim a Shot in FIFA 22

When on goal, hit a shot with the O/B button and aim the left analog stick in the direction you want the ball to go. It’s as simple as that. It might feel unnatural at first as it’s the same stick used for the player’s direction, but it gets easier with practice. You can also hit the R1/RB button while hitting the ball for a Finesse Shot that applies even more precision to the attempt.

If you’re still struggling to aim, you can pause in the game and select the Trainer option. There you can turn on the Shooting Mechanics Indicator and Shot Elevation options. With these activated, you will be able to view the direction and height of your shot just before you release it. For the best results one-on-one with the keeper, try and aim furthest away from him to push him to his most distant stretch.
