Guardians of the Galaxy: What to Say to Lipless in the Bar on Knowhere

When you reach Knowhere in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, you’ll meet Lipless, who claims to be an old friend of Star-Lord’s. Peter Quill doesn’t seem to remember meeting this guy though, so Lipless holds Quill at gunpoint (as friends do) and forces him to recall their past moments together. Saying the wrong thing here could make things go south pretty quickly, so you’ll have to think on your feet and convince Lipless that you’re actually best buds. Here’s what you need to say to Lipless in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy to avoid any conflict.

Correct Dialogue Choices for Lipless

The first question Lipless asks has four potential answers. You can choose any of the four options, but Pretend You Remember is the best of the dialogue choices. Lipless buys the lie, and he’ll be more cordial to you. That doesn’t mean you’re in the clear yet, though. Lipless has one final test to determine if you really remember who he is.

Storm Riders Lyrics

After bluffing that you actually know him, Lipless will ask you to sing a song called Storm Riders with him. Apparently, this is the song that he and Quill sang together when they were friends. You have to choose the correct lyrics in order to keep him happy. Here’s what you need to choose:

  • Like a Hurricane
  • Through the Rain

If you choose the other two options (Sweetest Lover and Cherry Lips), then Lipless will become upset and you will make an enemy of him. This doesn’t have any consequences later down the line, so don’t worry too much about it.

If you say the right things and sing the right lyrics, then Lipless and Quill will remain friends. As a token of your friendship, he’ll give you a free ticket to the Collector’s Emporium, which you can visit while you’re on Knowhere. The Emporium normally costs 5,000 Units to enter, so this is quite the coupon.

Like most of the choices in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, this event doesn’t have an incredibly consequential outcome. Still, you can earn a sweet reward out of it if you play your cards right, so it’s best to stay on Lipless’ good side if you can.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
