In Hitman 2 saving your game at key moments is important when trying to complete the game’s many challenges. There are certain points in any mission where things can branch off in different directions, opening new opportunities to complete challenges, while other opportunities will be closed off to you. It’s also entirely possible that your best laid plans for a Silent Assassin run go awry because of a pesky NPC that sees something that they shouldn’t.
There are two ways to save your game in Hitman 2. There is an autosaving feature in the game, as well as a manual save that lets you save at any time. The auto-save feature definitely does a good job at giving you a nice checkpoint if things do happen to go bad, but if you want to manually save you’ll have to go into the options menu to do that.
Simply press the Options button/ which will bring up the pause menu. From there you can choose to manually save your game. This manual save will then be listed in the Manual Save slots which you can access at any time.
Choosing the right spots to save your game and you can knock out numerous challenges in one play through instead of having to sit through some of the more tedious parts of the game where you are waiting for characters to get in the perfect position for your assassination attempts.
