Vampire the Masquerade Swansong Scene 1

How to Find Journey in Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong

Recommended Videos

The opening scene of Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong tasks you with finding Emem’s friend, Journey, but you’ll need to track down some evidence in order to figure out where she’s gone. If you’re trying to find Journey, then this guide will show you everything that you need to know. Journey planned the party that went wrong in the game’s opening cutscene, so the Prince wants to find her and it’s up to Emem to discover where she went. Here’s where you can find Journey in Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong.

Where is Journey in Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong?

In order to find Journey, you must first complete 5 steps to gather enough evidence and discover her location. Here’s an overview of what you need to do.

  1. Find Journey’s scarf in the bar and track her.
  2. Gain access to the archives and collect the folder.
  3. Find the missing page in Abigail’s office.
  4. Talk to Abigail.
  5. Find Journey in Jara Drory’s apartment.

Some of these things are more easily said than done, however, and your approach may vary based on your available skills and abilities.

Finding Journey’s Scarf

The first step in finding Journey is to find her scarf on the couch of an open alcove in the bar. There’s a Vessel who’s clearly been used recently laying on the couch, but they’re of no use. Activate Emem’s Auspex powers and track the scarf to reveal an orange trail leading to Journey.

Getting Into the Archives

The orange trail leads to the archives but you need a keycard to get in. A note near the door mentions a person named Lazarus, and the keycard can be found in a nearby office belonging to Lazarus Sheridan. It’s on the desk by the lamp.

Once inside the archives, follow the orange trail and open the drawer it leads to. Track the newly discovered folder to reveal a blue trail leading to Abigail.

Find the Missing Page

The file found in the archives is missing a page, so you’ll need to follow the blue trail to figure out what Abigail did with it. The trail leads to her office and you can find a note on the desk. Next, you need to track down Abigail herself.

Talk to Abigail

Abigail can be found standing in the bar where you found Journey’s scarf. She has a short haircut and is wearing a brown jacket, and you can find her to the right when you walk in the front entrance. She’ll tell you that Journey went to Jara Drory’s apartment to look for evidence, so that’s your next goal.

Find Journey in Jara Drory’s apartment.

Getting to Jara Drory’s apartment is as simple as following the orange trail, but you have to take a strange route to get there. You can’t use any of the elevators even though Emem has a voice line mentioning them, and the stairs leading to the apartment are hard to find.

To get there, follow the orange trail to the offices. Then, go to April’s office and go left down the hallway. Take the next left after that and you’ll find the staircase leading upstairs to the apartments. The orange trail will appear again, leading you straight to Jara Drory’s apartment where you can find Journey.

This is a point of no return, meaning once you head inside, you can’t come back out and explore. Make sure you’ve done everything you need to do before entering. Once inside, you’ll have to make a serious choice about what to do with Journey.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. A Nintendo Switch version of the game is currently in development.
