NBA 2K22: Squad Invites Not Working Fix

Recommended Videos

Playing with friends is a lot of fun in NBA 2K22, and all you need to do is send a squad invite to group up with other players. The invite system is mostly the same as last year, but just like every NBA 2K launch, there are quite a few issues with matchmaking and multiplayer right now. Many players are unable to group up with their friends because squad invites are not working. Thankfully, there is a workaround, but it’s pretty annoying. Here’s how to fix squad invites not working in NBA 2K22.

How to Fix Squad Invites in NBA 2K22

To invite friends in NBA 2K22, all you have to do is press left on the D-Pad to bring up your in-game phone. Select the yellow “Who’s Online” button and it will show a list of all your friends and nearby players. Once you find the friend you want to play with, select their name and choose “Invite to Squad” to invite them.

That being said, invites aren’t working perfectly right now. Even if you select “Invite to Squad,” the invite might not actually go through. To fix this, just spam the invite button. You may have to do it for a while, but eventually, one of the invites will go through and your friends will be able to join. Squad invites are handled from the in-game phone, so the player you are inviting should keep an eye on theirs until they get the notification.

NBA 2K22 is experiencing these issues because there’s a huge influx of players on launch day, but the servers should become more stable over the next few days as things being to stabilize and more updates are released for the game. A patch went live today for the next-gen version of the game, and even more updates are expected to be released over the next few days to iron out any issues.

NBA 2K22 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
