Multiple editions of New World release on the 28th of September, which may leave many gamers wondering whether the Deluxe Edition of the game is worth it. There are three versions of the game available, each with a unique set of content. Find out if the Deluxe Edition is the right one for you.
Is the New World Deluxe Edition Worth It?
The Deluxe Edition of New World, priced at $49.99, comes with the game as well as a host of additional content. This includes:
- Woodsman Armor Skin
- Woodsman Hatchet Skin
- Mastiff House Pet
- Rock/Paper/Scissors Emote Set
- New World Digital Art Book
It should be noted that the house pet can only be used once you unlock player housing, which occurs in-game at level 20. The rock/paper/scissors emote set may look cool, but it is also useful for making decisions between players or just having a fun, risk-free game.
Perhaps the most enticing feature of the Deluxe Edition is the digital artbook. The game contains breathtaking vistas, magical environments, and strange creatures to discover. For those who want to fully immerse themselves in the world of Aeternum Island, the Deluxe Edition may be the right choice.
Other New World Editions
If the Deluxe Edition does not appeal to you, the Standard Edition is always available to pick up. The Standard Edition will get you the base game with none of the frills or bonus content.
Big fans of New World might want to spring for the Steelbook Edition. This is a limited physical edition of the game exclusive to Amazon. This edition contains:
- New World Steelbook Case
- Collector’s Map of Aeternum Island
- All the Deluxe Edition Content
The steelbook is just for show, however, and will not come with a disk. Instead, customers will be sent a code to download the game on Steam. The included collector’s map is designed by the New World art director.
For gamers looking to show off with some cool skins, or are preparing to sink dozens of hours into Amazon’s MMO, the Deluxe Edition of New World may just be worth it. However, if those extras do not appeal to you, the Standard Edition is just fine.
New World is available on PC.
