Fans have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of new Eeveelutions in Pokemon GO and with new Lure Modules added to the game they have finally arrived. Glaceon and Leafeon are finally here, but to get them you’ll need to do some new things that you haven’t done in Pokemon GO before. This involves the aformentioned Lure Modules which unlock new creatures and features, but also these highly sought after evolutions. Here’s how to evolve Eevee into Glaceon and Leafeon in Pokemon GO.
How to Evolve Eevee into Glaceon and Leafeon
UPDATE: As well as the instructions below, there is a newly discovered naming trick. Simply change the name of any Eevee to Linnea to evolve it into Leafeon and Rea for Glaceon. This is a one-time use thing though, so use it wisely.
Original article: As I said, it all comes down to those brand new lure modules, which just showed up in the Pokemon GO store. Head in there and buy either the Glacial Lure Module or the Mossy Lure Module, as these are what you need to get Glaceon and Leafeon respectively. Once you have them you need to head to a nearby Poke Stop and add them to it. This will cause Pokemon of that particular type to spawn more regularly, meaning water and ice types for the Glacial and grass, bug, and poison for the Mossy. Once it’s activated, just make sure you are close enough to spin the Stop.
Once you are you are ready to evolve Eevee into either Glaceon or Leafeon. Obviously, you use Glacial for Glaceon and Mossy for Leafeon, so choose which you want before applying it to the Poke Stop. Then just head into your menu and choose the Eevee you want to evolve. Do so while within range of the live Lure Module (you’ll know because a special button will appear with a picture) and you’ll end up with a brand new Glaceon or Leafeon of your very own.
Something to keep in mind is that it doesn’t matter if you were the one to add the lure to the Poke Stop. As long as one is active and you are within spinning range, you can evolve your Eevee into either of the new Eeveelutions. So buddy up if you want to save some coins and not have to buy your own just for this new character.
