The annual Pokemon GO Fest is almost upon us in Pokemon GO. While we have enjoyed smaller events such as the Water Festival and A Mega Moment in Pokemon GO, Pokemon GO Fest 2022 is a large-scale event that is filled with great activities to enjoy. However, events this big split Trainers into two categories: those who purchase the event ticket and those who don’t. In this guide, you’ll learn everything you need to know to decide if getting a ticket for Pokemon GO Fest is worth it.

Pokemon GO Fest Details

Pokemon GO Fest is a 2-Day extravaganza that starts on Saturday, June 4, at 10:00 a.m. local time and ends on Sunday, June 5, at 6:00 p.m. local time. Since it is happening at the beginning of June, you have a little less than a month to think about whether buying a ticket is worth it for you. Speaking of, the event ticket for Pokemon GO Fest is US$14.99. This is a hefty price to pay; what does the ticketed event offer that makes it worth it?

Since $14.99 is a lot to ask for a 2-day event (at least a lot more than the usual US$0.99 for a day event), the ticketed version of Pokemon GO Fest needs to be worth it. If you are curious about an in-depth, all-encompassing guide on everything Pokemon GO Fest offers, check out our Pokemon GO Fest guide. We’ve also detailed the difference between the free and paid features for the event for your convenience.

The free version of Pokemon GO Fest will grant Trainers access to brand new shiny Pokemon available to catch in the wild. There will also be four rotating habitats with different wild Pokemon spawns, most of which are shiny, available to find and catch. The second day of the event will open the Global Challenge Arena to free participants and offer a short Special Research story.

Trainers who purchase the Pokemon GO Fest event ticket will have access to all of the free version features and more. Some of the notable things available only to ticket holders are Customizable Special Research featuring an encounter with Land Forme Shaymin, increased shiny Pokemon chances, special Pokemon with Incense, more Team GO Rocket encounters, an additional Special Research story on Day 2, and up to nine free Raid Passes.

If you are on the fence about whether or not to buy the Pokemon GO Fest ticket, you still have time. As more information about the event becomes available, you’ll have more information to make your decision. As it stands now, the ticket version of Pokemon GO Fest seems to offer a lot and make up for its asking price. But, the ultimate choice is yours to make.
