On your travels in Red Dead Online you will be collecting a lot of different items.  Many of the weapons and items that you want to quickly equip or use can be found on the game’s item and weapon wheel, but there are many other things that you’ll need to have access to throughout the course of the game.

Like the single player portion of Red Dead Redemption 2, these are the items that are in your Satchel in Red Dead Online.  Your Satchel can be accessed by pressing and holding right on the D-pad.  This will bring up an inventory menu that consists of recent items, provisions (food), Tonics, Ingredients, Crafting Materials, Kit items, Valuables that can be sold, and Documents that can be read.

From the Satchel you can read things like the Legendary Animal, Legendary Fish, and Treasure Maps in the game.  It also allows you to read books, newspapers, and letters that you’ve found on your journey.  Some items, like Provisions and Tonics, can be consumed from the Satchel Menu to restore or fortify your health, dead eye, and stamina cores.  You can also discard items that may be taking up space in your Satchel inventory.

When pressing right on the d-pad look to the bottom right hand side of the screen and you will see a meter fill to let you know that you are accessing the Satchel in Red Dead Online.
