Super Smash Bros. Ultimate lets you change a lot about the overall game experience. You can change your controls, you can choose different skins for characters, and much more. You also have control over the music played at different times during the game. Of course, there’s one tune you’ll hear the most: the menu music. Can you change this? How? The answers aren’t too simple, so here’s how to change menu music in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

First off, let’s break down how to change music in general. Any time you unlock more music they are stored in your Vault. Head here off the main menu and you’ll find the Sounds section. Once inside you can make certain choices that will lead to your preferred music playing more often. However, you cannot yet change the menu music. This is locked up.

Thankfully that won’t always be the case. Once you finish World of Light you should unlock the ability to change menu music, though it might still be limited a bit. We’re still working our way through Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and its adventure mode, so things are still a bit confusing. However, from all reports, once you complete the World of Light adventure mode you should be able to head to this same menu and select new menu music for SSBU.

And that’s how to change menu music in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Check back for updates and more guides as we explore more of this massive game.
