Every character matters, but some characters matter more than others. This is the case with most of the third party fighters in SSBU. While you certainly want to unlock every character, you also want to get your favorites out there for you to use as quickly as possible. So to help out we have some individual guides for unlocking these fan favorites. Here’s how to unlock Snake in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

You can always use our method for how to unlock all characters in SSBU, but that might take too long, so let’s break down the faster ways for Snake. As we said in that guide, to unlock specific characters you want to use Classic Mode. Playing this mode from start to finish with a particular character will unlock a specific fighter, while the main method is a bit more random. So, who do you use for Snake?

Snake can be unlocked by playing with Link, King K. Rool, Ice Climbers, Simon, or Meta Knight. The unlock path in Classic Mode requires that you beat the mode with Link first to unlock the first character in the chain and then on successive playthroughs you will unlock a new character.  You can continue to play with Link to unlock all characters on his route, or you can play with the character that you just unlocked to unlock the next one.

The path to Snake in Classic Mode is listed below:

Link > King K. Rool > Ice Climbers > Simon > Meta Knight > Snake

However you get him, once you have Meta Knight, unlocking Snake is just one more completion of classic mode.

And that’s how to unlock Snake in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
