Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes opens with a pretty blissful section of hack-and-slash action. Taking down enemies, eating ramen, shaking your Joy-Con, all the usual stuff you’ve come to expect from this wacky franchise. Once you finish that first stage though, you are dumped back in Travis’ trailer and some quick text prompts guide you to your next destination. If you skip it though, or are rushing to get to the next stage in the Death Drive MKII, then you might be confused. To help, here’s how to unlock new stages in Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes.

The answer was in those short text segments that you probably mashed A to get past. They should have hinted to you at what to do next, which is head toward your motorcycle. Travis’ motorcycle opens up a new section of the game, called Travis Strikes Back. Here you will watch some visual novel segments all in old school black and green. It’s kind of ok to mash A here, especially during the extremely long opener.

The story is fun and well-written though, so if you’re a fan of Suda51, you might want to go slow, and read along. Either way you do it, completing this area is how you attain the next Death Drive and unlock a new stage. You’ll have to do this after each completed level of Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes, so get ready to watch a lot of green text fly by.

And that’s how to unlock new stages in Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes.
