343 Industries has tapped top Hollywood talent for the production of the Halo 4 launch trailer. Set to debut on October 18th, the Halo 4 trailer will be directed by David Fincher. Fincher is known for his work in Fight Club and The Social Network. Alongside Fincher will be special effects wizard Tim Miller, who is most recently known for his work on the Scott Pilgrim vs. The World movie.

This move should come as no surprise to Halo fans that have watched the franchise over the years. Microsoft has always spared no expensive when it comes to marketing their flagship title. The launch trailer will showcase Master Chief, and explore the soldiers backstory and the new threat that the iconic character will face in Halo 4.

The trailer will debut on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on October 18th. Following the televised reveal, the launch trailer will then be available for viewing on Halo Waypoint as well as via the Xbox You Tube channel.

Halo 4 is scheduled for a November 8th release, exclusively on the Xbox 360.
